Astrovia / Legal
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 14, 2026 Effective: October 14, 2026
This policy explains how personal data is handled in the Astrovia mobile app and its connected services. Astrology content is intended for personal reflection and entertainment.
1. Scope and controller
Astrovia is a mobile application developed and provided by Dijion. Dijion is the controller that determines why and how personal data is processed under this policy. The policy covers the mobile app, support requests, and cloud services connected to the app.
This notice is provided under Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar laws.
2. Data we process
Account and profile data
- Firebase user identifier, email address, sign-in method (email and password or Google sign-in), and display name where available.
- Birth date, birth time, birthplace, country/city, coordinates, and time zone needed to calculate your chart.
- If you choose to provide them: gender, occupation, and relationship status; plus app language, appearance, notification preferences, and privacy choices.
- The version, date, and language of the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy you accepted at registration.
Content in the app
- Relationship profiles you add (the other person's name and birth details) and compatibility and synastry results.
- Questions you send to Astro Assistant, conversation history, and generated replies.
- Calculated or generated content such as birth charts, energy scores, daily/weekly/monthly sign readings, and For You and Outlook readings.
- Usage allowance and quota records (for example, daily Assistant questions and extra allowances unlocked with rewarded ads).
Subscription and purchase data
- Store purchase token, order ID, product/plan ID, subscription status, auto-renewal status, trial or paid period, price and currency, and entitlement expiry.
- Scheduled price-change details reported by Google Play (new price and effective date), used only to show you an in-app notice before a price increase.
- Dijion does not receive or store payment-card or payment-method details; payments are processed by the store.
Device and technical data
- Notification device token, device platform and model, operating-system and app version, language, and time zone.
- App-integrity signals (Firebase App Check; Play Integrity on Android, App Attest/DeviceCheck on iOS), plus security and abuse-prevention records.
- If you allow it: usage events, screen views, crash/error reports, and performance data.
- In the free version, where rewarded ads are offered: advertising ID (subject to your choices), IP address, device signals, and ad interactions (see Section 5).
Data that stays on your device
- The 3D Sky Map uses your phone's motion sensors (accelerometer, gyroscope, compass) on the device only, to orient the map; this data is not stored or sent to our servers.
- When you choose to share or save a chart or compatibility image, the image is created on your device and passed to the app or gallery you pick.
- Preferences, recently viewed content, and caches are stored on your device and removed when you uninstall the app.
Astrovia does not collect your device's precise (GPS) location. Birthplace search runs on the device using GeoNames place data bundled with the app; the place name you type is not sent to a geocoding service. Saved birthplaces, coordinates, and time zones are stored in Firebase for account synchronization, and your birth details are also cached on the device under your account for offline calculations. Sign readings, For You and Outlook readings, relationship readings, and energy texts are composed on your device from prepared texts that ship with the app; your birth details are not sent to an AI service for these readings. The sky calendar and map positions are also calculated on the device. To send notifications at the right local time, your phone's current time zone is sent to our server when you open the app. Earlier versions of the app may use your device's operating-system geocoding service for birthplace search.
3. Why we use data
- Create your account, maintain a secure session, and sync your profile across devices.
- Calculate your birth chart and deliver sign readings, For You and Outlook readings, relationship compatibility and readings, and energy scores.
- Prepare Astro Assistant replies using chart context and manage usage allowances.
- Verify Premium access, restore purchases, process subscription events, and notify you of scheduled price changes.
- Send the notifications you choose and keep content ready in the background.
- Show ads in the free version, verify rewards granted for rewarded ads, and, if you allow it, measure the results of our ad campaigns.
- Prevent errors, abuse, and unauthorized access; measure and improve service performance.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to legal claims.
Legal bases: performance of a contract (account, readings, subscription), legal obligation, legitimate interests in securing and improving the service, and consent for analytics, personalized ads, and ad measurement. You can withdraw consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.
4. Consent and your choices
When you create an account, you accept the Terms of Use and this Privacy Policy by continuing. Usage analytics and personalized ads are not requested during sign-up; they are asked in a short prompt after you read your first reading, and both stay off until you choose. In that prompt you can keep both off with "Essential only", turn both on with "Accept", or choose each separately with "Edit preferences". Premium subscribers see no ads, so only usage analytics is asked. You can use every free feature without granting either permission; if you decline, you are reminded at most once, after 30 days. You can turn either permission on or off independently at any time later in Profile > Settings > My Account > Privacy and data.
- Usage analytics: when on, screen usage, app and device information, approximate location (country/city derived from IP address), and crash data are sent to Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics, and app-open, registration, and subscription events are sent to Meta. When off, no new events are sent.
- Personalized ads: when on, ads may be selected based on your interests and (if analytics is also on) your advertising ID may be included in Meta measurement. When off, only non-personalized ads are shown.
- Regional ad consent: in regions that require it, such as the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, Google's consent form (User Messaging Platform) is shown first and the app's own prompt asks only about usage analytics; you can change your choices in Google's form from the ad privacy options on the Privacy and data screen.
- iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT): on iPhone, Apple's tracking prompt appears when you allow personalized ads. If you decline, the advertising identifier (IDFA) is not shared; you can change this in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- Notifications: managed through the operating-system permission and your in-app notification preferences.
Your Assistant questions, birth details, and relationship profiles are never included in analytics or advertising events.
5. Advertising and ad measurement
The app only uses optional rewarded ads; no banner or native ads are shown within app content. Free users can watch an ad for an extra Assistant question or 15 minutes of access to the 3D Sky Map. To confirm an Assistant question reward, Google sends our server a signed verification callback when the ad completes; it contains your Firebase user ID and reward details. Sky Map access is verified on the device. Premium subscribers do not see ads.
Ads are served by Google AdMob. Google may process the advertising ID, IP address, device and app information, and ad interactions under its own policies. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services .
We use Meta App Events (Facebook SDK) to measure our app-install campaigns. Only if usage analytics is on, app install/open, registration completion, and server-verified trial, subscription, and purchase events (plan, amount, and currency) are sent to Meta. The advertising ID is shared only if personalized ads are also on (and, on iOS, ATT permission is granted). Your email address, birth details, and Assistant questions are not sent to Meta.
See the Meta Privacy Policy for how Meta processes data.
On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in device settings (Google > Ads).
6. Service providers and transfers
We do not sell personal data. We share only what is necessary with these providers:
- Google Firebase and Google Cloud: authentication (including Google sign-in), database, server functions, notifications, app integrity (App Check), analytics, and crash reporting.
- OpenAI: generation of Astro Assistant replies. See Section 7.
- Google Play and, where applicable, Apple App Store: payments, subscriptions, trials, purchase verification, price changes, refunds, and store records.
- Google AdMob and User Messaging Platform: ad delivery in the free version, rewarded-ad verification, and consent management where required.
- Meta Platforms (Facebook SDK / App Events): measurement of app-install campaigns, if you allow it.
- GeoNames: offline place data bundled with the app for birthplace search; search text is not sent to this provider. Earlier versions may use your device's operating-system geocoding service (Google or Apple) for this.
These providers may operate servers outside Türkiye, including in the European Union and the United States. International transfers follow Article 9 of KVKK and, where applicable, GDPR transfer rules, relying on the providers' standard contractual clauses and technical safeguards.
7. AI-generated content
AI is used only in Astro Assistant. Sign readings, For You and Outlook readings, relationship readings, Quick Compatibility, and Detailed Synastry are composed on your device from prepared texts and send no data to OpenAI; daily, weekly, and monthly sign readings are the same for everyone with the same sign and language. Birth-chart and transit calculations run on your device and in our own services. When you use Astro Assistant, the calculated astrology context, your Assistant question, the first part of your name, and, if provided, your occupation and relationship status may be sent to OpenAI. Your email address, phone number, and user ID are not sent to OpenAI, and email addresses and phone numbers in your questions are filtered out.
OpenAI states that it does not use data submitted through its API to train its models; data may be retained for a limited period for abuse monitoring.
Do not enter an ID number, health information, or information that directly identifies another person in Assistant questions. Automated replies can be inaccurate, incomplete, or repetitive; they are not reviewed by a human expert and are not health, psychological, legal, or financial advice.
8. Retention and deletion
- Account and profile data is kept while your account is active and as needed to provide the service.
- Astro Assistant conversations are kept in your account for up to 90 days and then deleted automatically. You can delete chat history at any time in Privacy and data.
- Readings generated on our servers by earlier versions are no longer refreshed; they are deleted when you delete your account or by the inactive-account cleanup below.
- Service data (such as readings and caches) for non-Premium accounts inactive for 90 days may be cleaned automatically.
- Subscription and purchase records are kept while the subscription lasts and as long as needed for tax, accounting, and potential disputes.
- Limited quota, fraud-prevention, and security records may be kept as long as reasonably necessary for security.
- Analytics, crash, and ad-measurement data is subject to the retention settings of the relevant providers (Google, Meta).
Account deletion starts immediately in the app after two confirmations and re-authentication. Authentication records, account documents in the database, user files, notification tokens, and active service data linked to the account are deleted. Backup copies expire through normal cycles or are isolated from active access. Store payment records and limited records required by law may remain under the relevant provider's retention rules. See Delete Account for detailed steps.
9. Security and children's privacy
We use measures such as encryption in transit, authorization rules, server-side validation, app-integrity checks, rate and quota limits, and access logging. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Astrovia is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you are below the age required to consent to digital services in your country, do not use the app without a parent or legal guardian's permission. If you believe we process a child's data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Your rights
Under Article 11 of KVKK, the GDPR where applicable, and other applicable laws, you may have the right to know whether your data is processed, request information, learn the purpose of processing and the third parties it is transferred to, request correction, deletion, or destruction, restrict or object to processing, obtain a portable copy of your data, withdraw consent, and seek compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.
In the app you can edit your profile, change analytics and personalized-ad permissions, manage notifications, delete chat history, and permanently delete your account. To receive a copy of your data or exercise other rights, contact us through the support channel in Section 12. We respond within 30 days and may request reasonable verification to protect your account.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority or the data-protection authority in your country.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when features, providers, or legal requirements change. Material changes are communicated in the app or by another appropriate method. The date at the top identifies the current version.
12. Contact
For account, privacy, data requests, purchase, or technical matters, use the support channel on the Dijion Google Play developer page . Do not include birth details or other sensitive data in your first message; if account matching is needed, provide only the email used for the account and the type of request.
