Product thinking / DIJION
Start with a clear purpose
An idea becomes easier to develop when its purpose is clear. Who is it for? When will they use it? What will make the experience worthwhile?
For a mobile app, the value might be helping someone complete an everyday task with less effort. For a game, it might be the satisfaction of mastering a mechanic, making a discovery or overcoming a challenge.
A useful starting point is to describe that value in one sentence. This gives design and development a shared direction and helps us decide which features deserve attention first.
The next step is a small prototype. An app prototype can help us explore whether a flow is understandable. A game prototype can help us examine how the controls feel and whether the central interaction is enjoyable.
Early experiments give us something concrete to question and improve. They help us decide what to keep, what to change and what to explore next.
At Dijion, this is the role Pip represents: asking useful questions and keeping the purpose of the experience in view.
